Articling

At Prouse, Dash & Crouch, LLP we believe that our articling program is our recruitment program. We believe that the articling term is both an important opportunity to provide for a student’s practical growth and an opportunity for our firm to develop its future associates and partners.

There are no formal rotations offered at Prouse, Dash & Crouch, LLP, instead articling with our firm means active participation in all practice areas. In litigation practice areas, you may assist lawyers in preparation for trials, mediations, arbitrations and hearings and may accompany them into court. Under supervision, you will appear regularly before the Superior Court of Justice on motions. You will be exposed to other practical aspects of a litigation practice by meeting and dealing with clients and other lawyers, drafting pleadings, motion materials, facta and memoranda of law. In solicitor practice areas, you will draft Wills and Powers of Attorney, estate applications, and corporate documents. You will also meet and deal with clients on a variety of matters.

At Prouse, Dash & Crouch, LLP we place a high priority on making the articling experience rewarding and fun. Student enthusiasm and talents are always welcome at our social events. Throughout the articling term each student is assigned a mentor to act as a counselor and sounding board.
